Frederick Douglass At 200: Two Descendants Trace The Abolitionist's Legacy

Frederick Douglass, the former slave who became a prominent abolitionist, was born in 1818. He never knew his actual birthday, so he selected Feb. 14.

There are events being held around the country to celebrate his life Wednesday. Here & Now‘s Lisa Mullins speaks with Nettie Washington Douglass and her son Kenneth Morris, descendants of Frederick Douglass and founders of the Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives.
