WCSU presents the Brown Bag Lecture Series - Good Evening Africa

Present and Represent. The WCSU Brown Bag Lecture Series introduces scholarly and creative activities of Central State University faculty, staff and students to Wilberforce and surrounding communities in Ohio. Presenters from all departments are invited to participate and share their research interests with WCSU's diverse listening audience. The Brown Bag Lecture Series will increase Central State University's visibility in the local community, statewide, nationally, and internationally.

WCSU will broadcast the inaugural Brown Bag Lecture program live Wednesday, September 20 at 12:06 PM from the Stokes Center Conference Room #109 on the campus of Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. Cyril Ibe will be the featured presenter.  Ibe’s topic will be Good Evening Africa.

Good Evening Africa, a live performing arts and conversation series was first launched in Chicago in 2002 by Nigerian-born radio host/producer Cyril Ibe. It will soon find a new home on Central State University’s WCSU 88.9/WCSUFM.org.

With audio-streaming and podcasting technologies available to broadcast stations these days, Good Evening Africa will seek a worldwide audience from its new home in Wilberforce, Ohio.  “By its very nature, radio is a dynamic medium that wields its engaging and connecting power from a variety of voices and sounds. As a live entertainment show, Good Evening Africa promises to engage, interact and empower,” Good Evening Africa host Ibe says.
