WCSU-FM Kicks Off Spring Membership Drive 2018

WCSU-FM kicked off their Membership Drive on May 21 under the theme - “WCSU Is a Community Treasure.” This theme was chosen because while there is a long history of service, many people still don’t know about the depth of programming WCSU-FM offers.  WCSU is the best kept secret on the FM dial.

Since 1962, WCSU has been providing quality programming to the Miami Valley, and has since become one of the best public college radio stations in the nation. WCSU host some of the finest jazz programs on radio. Over the last several years WCSU has won numerous awards including, Ohio eTech awards for educational service, and national Black College Radio Station of the Year.

WCSU also provides quality educational content ranging from “Miami Valley Speaks,” which focuses on politics, health, education, race relations, the arts and the economy; to such diverse programs as the award winning public affairs program “Alternative Radio, which provides information, analyses and views that are frequently ignored or distorted in corporate media.

“This radio station truly is a treasure,” said Dr. Robert Franklin, General Manager at WCSU-FM. “As the first HBCU radio station in the nation, it has done a fantastic job of serving the Miami Valley for the past 50 years.  We think more people should know about the great programs here and the more they know the more they will support.”

Some of the benefits of being a member of WCSU-FM include:
